Could you support this claim with some hard facts?

The only answer is that the Lord God, Yahweh, I Am was around before the universe was created, and is the creator of all things. I, of course, base this on the Bible because there are no written accounts from the day the earth was created. However, I'll be glad to put the Bible up against any other religious book for both its consistency, truth and depth, and its description of the character of God.

If you look at who god is in any other religion, and stop to think about the implications, you'll find that the characteristics of God, as described by God Himself in the Bible, are the only ones that make sense. That is one of the ways we can recognize Him as the one true God.

For example, throughout the Quran Allah changes his mind about things. In Islam you can never really be sure, in particular about your salvation. Muhammed even tells his daughter that he does not know if he, himself, will go to heaven or hell.

You'll find that in EVERY other religion the god (or gods) are dependent and obligated to people. If a person does a certain thing, the god is obligated to respond in a certain way. People control their gods. Only in Christianity is God totally soveriegn. He can do whatever He wants, and He has given us several promises the assure us of our future. And unlike other gods, the Lord God Yahweh never goes back on His promises.
